About the Job.
The Social Environmental Agency (SEA) is a national non-profit and non-political organization established in 2017 by Somali intellectuals to address the needs of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), returnees, and vulnerable host communities in Somalia, particularly in Jubaland, South West State, and Bannadir Region. SEA operates its headquarters in Kismayo with sub-branch offices in Mogadishu, Baidoa, and Afmadow.
SEA’s interventions encompass various sectors including; Food Security and Nutrition, Livelihoods, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Health, Protection and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) issues, enabling effective engagement with communities, governments, donors in projects implementations.
Position Overview:
Social Environmental Agency (SEA) is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to join our team. This Position will be based in Kismayo, Somalia with regular travel to target locations for monitoring and evaluating in market construction activities.
Duties and Responsibilities.
· Preparing holistic project baseline assessments and drawing supportive finding the project implementation process.
· Monitoring project activities action plan on daily bases, weekly, and monthly bases.
· Maintaining and tracking project performance and status to predesigned the project indicators to project all possible deviations.
· Responsible in controlling all project risks and keeping all uncertainties in the project surrounding environment.
· Keeping the project monitoring and evaluation in participatory and consultative process involving main stakeholders.
· Verify that the construction works among the targeted area are carried out according to the quality standards established by Social Environmental Agency(SEA) through quality check list.
· Making sure that all financial transactions are accurately and carefully are carried and implemented all procedures and policies in handling the project activities.
· Preparing post implementation evaluation, the all-necessary reports in the process of implementation of the project.
· Any other related duties assigned by your immediate supervisor
Skills and qualifications
Minimum qualifications and required competencies
· Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Social Science, Statists, International Development.
· 4-3 Years’ experience in the related works
· Detailed oriented, highly organized and practices strict adherence to timelines
· Excellency planning and reporting skills.
· Fluency in written and spoken English and Somali Language.
· Computer proficiency especially MS office.
